The University of Arizona is conducting a 6-week remote study to understand the relationship between morning light exposure, circadian rhythms, and mood among military service members.
Must be a current member, or retired in the last 5 years, of the US Armed Forces (including Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserves). All branches qualify.
Our study is APPROVED by the Department of Defense and IRB.
What to Expect:
This study is entirely remote and designed to fit into your normal daily schedule. If selected, you will be provided with light-emitting glasses to use briefly each morning, along with a Fitbit Charge 6 to wear while sleeping. You will also be asked to complete short assessments regarding your mood and routines each day.
Compensation:
Upon successful completion of the study, participants will receive up to $500 and get to keep the Fitbit Charge 6 used during the research (total value of $695). All data is kept strictly confidential.
To receive the full $500, every task and survey must be completed as scheduled and meet all data quality standards, including passing embedded attention checks. If you fail to complete the required daily tasks (such as wearing the devices or taking the surveys), or if your survey responses are disqualified due to failed attention checks, your final compensation will be reduced according to a strict non-compliance penalty schedule provided to you before you begin.
The researcher may follow up via message, email, or phone to confirm if you're a fit for the study. Be sure to answer!
