Unmoderated improvements

Two improvements to the unmoderated experience are now live:

 ✅ Cleaner task access for participants

Previously, participants could still access and submit tasks even after being marked complete, incomplete, removed, or paid—sometimes leading to duplicate submissions and data mismatches.

Now, things are simpler and more secure:

• No duplicate submissions—Once a participant submits a task, they can’t submit again.
• Clear boundaries—Participants who are marked complete, paid, or removed can no longer access the task link.

⚙️ Screen-out support for unmoderated redirect integrations

We’ve improved how screen-outs work with our redirect integrations. Previously, when a participant was screened out in another tool like Qualtrics or Maze, User Interviews didn’t know about it—causing slower fulfillment, mismatched participant statuses, and confusion for participants who didn’t realize they were screened out.

Now, if a participant is screened out in another testing tool, they will be sent back to UI and will automatically be marked incomplete in UI, freeing up that spot to a new participant.
