Join our FREE workshop on Wednesday, April 22 from 11 AM to 1 PM ET that provides a roadmap to optimizing your in-depth interviews into intentional sessions that yield invaluable insights.

The Science of User Interviews shows you how to move beyond surface-level feedback and gain higher quality insights by leveraging behavioral and attitudinal research principles and modern AI tooling.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
Design bias-resistant interview guides
Facilitate interviews that uncover attitudinal and behavioral drivers
Distinguish anecdotal feedback from validated patterns
Use AI responsibly to accelerate interview design and feedback synthesis
The course is led by Instructor Eniola Abioye, a UX expert and founder of the UX Outloud community.

Why Interviews Fail—common pitfalls: leading questions, shallow probing, confirmation bias, and over-reliance on stated preference.
Behavioral Science Fundamentals—mental models, identifying bias, and stated vs. observed behavior.
Designing High-Signal Interview Guides—translating business goals into behavioral research questions, question laddering techniques, structuring for depth, and how to “go off-script” as needed.
Facilitation Mastery—strategic silence, probing frameworks, extracting specificity, and navigating ambiguity.
AI for Research Rigor—drafting support, theme extraction, transcript synthesis, risk mitigation.
Notes to Insight—converting raw quotes into patterns, and patterns into decision-ready findings.
