Alina I'vette (she/they) is a UX researcher who analyzes the power dynamics that mediate and shape people's experiences of financial technologies. She's focused on mitigating bias in emerging technologies and enjoys exploring all things Web3. 

She has processed 3 archival collections and curated related exhibits. She’s an expert in WOC feminisms and civic and political engagement. Alina is a Gates Millennium Scholar and holds a PhD in Latin American and Latino Studies with emphasis in Sociology; her dissertation concerned the political practices of Latina Sorority Girls. 

Outside of work, she loves to travel; her career as a UX researcher made that dream a reality, and she’s been to 4 countries (UAE, Mauritius, Malaysia, and Singapore) since she joined Citi last year. She likes trying new physical activities, from powerlifting to aerial yoga. She’s from Scranton, PA, and she’s never watched The Office.
