The Recruit API allows research platforms and other automated systems to send automated recruitment requests to our system to invite, screen, and incentivize members of our audience to their platforms to participate in research.

API Access and Capabilities
What are the use cases of the API Integration?
- Researcher-facing integration: Researcher is presented the option to recruit from the User Interviews audience in Partner’s web application & Researcher inputs recruitment criteria, which triggers a Recruit API call.
- Partner-controlled recruitment automation: Partner receives recruitment criteria from Researcher (via online interface or some other channel) & Partner reviews criteria then manually triggers a Recruit API call.
What is the difference between the UI API Integration and UI Direct?
UI Direct
The historical way for clients to recruit from the panel. It includes:
- Robust screening
- More visibility into participant profiles / participant quality (LI verified, last project completed, etc)
- Issuing incentives
- Better for teams doing research with personas that require intensive screening
UI API Integration
Offers increased automation to support higher volumes at scale. It includes:
- Limited but present screening capabilities
- API Integration built
- Issuing incentives
- Better for teams doing high volume research with personas that don’t require intensive screening
Is a testing environment provided?
We support a one month pilot environment. This sandbox will be a direct UI account, to test for quality + speed. UI team will work with you on testing criteria + defining a mutual success plan.
What historical data (e.g., completion rates, participant feedback) is retrieveable?
You will have the data needed to calculate completion rates and capture participant feedback.
What is your data compliance regulation record?
We are compliant with:

Billing and Cost
How is cost determined and structured?
- API Partner pricing.: We require an upfront purchase of session volume. We have standard packages we can discuss, including Phase I testing packages, to find the one best suited for your volume projections.
- Pre-paid incentive balance: we require a prepaid incentive balance to prevent service gaps in partner pricing.
How are participant incentives managed?
UI distributes incentives for participants.
Partnership and Support
Is technical and onboarding support offered?
You will be provided with an array of support members through your pilot process and longterm partnership. Director of partnerships, dedicated technical support, dedicated slack channel, and marketing team members for co-marketing opportunities.
Are there branding or co-marketing requirements?
Once we are official partners, Director partnerships will introduce you to your dedicated marketing contact to discuss and brainstorm marketing apps (including but not limited to: podcast appearances, events, co branding, etc). These conversations will require you to provide a path towards marketplace integration.
We do not permit white labeling of our panel (e.g., hiding our name—you'll need to use our brand when saying you have a panel).
