Incentive payments are issued to participants who have completed their session with the researcher. The researcher will be required to confirm your participation in our platform.
We offer researchers two options for distributing their participant incentives. They will either select for User Interviews to distribute on their behalf via Amazon Gift Codes OR they will opt to distribute the incentives themselves.
Once confirmed for a study, you’ll see something similar to the image below on your dashboard. If you see an asterisk * next to the payment listed in blue, that means User Interviews will be distributing your incentive. If no asterisk, you’ll be receiving your incentive from the researcher.
If User Interviews is distributes incentives, we will send Amazon Gift Codes electronically. They will be sent to your email from firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also check your payment dashboard. Log in to your account and click "My Projects" in your menu. You will be taken to a list of all projects you have been scheduled for.
You will be able to redeem Amazon Gift Cards in the currency of your choice (USD, CAD, AUD, GBP, or EUR). Note: we offer Euro incentives for Amazon.fr and Amazon.de sites only. If you are located in South Africa, we will send you the claim code directly to your email. We are unable to issue payment in another form nor are we able to change the currency once selected and redeemed.
If the researcher distributes incentives, they will do so in the form that was outlined on the application. We encourage researchers to distribute gift codes within 10 business days of the participant's session.
Log in to your account and click "My Projects" in your menu. You will be taken to a list of all projects you have been scheduled for. Find the one you have questions about and check the status.
If your project status is listed as "Confirmed", payment has not been issued yet. The researcher still needs to provide us with your record of attendance. Many will do this within a few days of your session. Please be patient and do not contact our team unless it has been more than 10 business days since your session.
If your project status is listed as "Paid", your incentive has been issued by User Interviews—woohoo! Check your email for a message from email@example.com or simply click "View Gift Code" to see your unique 17-digit Amazon.com code. To redeem your incentive, apply this code to your Amazon.com account (here's how).
Gift codes are issued safely and privately, meaning only you can see them in your email or in this dashboard. We will not be able to reissue any codes, especially if they have been shared or already applied. In other words—keep it safe and to yourself!
If your project status is listed as "Interview completed", the researcher has elected to distribute incentive payments. If this is the case, we are unable to provide tracking or additional details into your payment. If 10 business days have passed since your session and you have not received payment, contact our support team.
We expect payment for a study to be issued within 10 business days of your session date or the study's deadline. Please do not contact support if it has not been at least 10 business days since your study was completed as our team will not be able to assist you.
