Marieke (pronounced Ma-ree-kah) (she/her) has spent almost 15 years helping companies grow by making better, more confident, product decisions by leveraging data and rich qualitative insights. Currently the Director of UX Research for LinkedIn’s Talent Solutions, she is focused on helping professionals advance their career and organizations advance their talent strategies. 

Before joining LinkedIn, Marieke established the UX Research practice at two startups. At Humu, a behavioral change HR Tech startup, she informed the product strategy and development by helping ensure a deep understanding of and empathy for our users. At UserTesting, she led the Product Insights team, overseeing the company’s Data Science and UX Research efforts.

Formerly a consultant at Nielsen Norman Group, she’s also trained thousands of professionals worldwide on the value of gaining a deep customer understanding.

Marieke is originally from the Netherlands. After getting a Master’s in Cognitive Science from Johns Hopkins University, she moved to California and is currently based in Mountain View. Her favorite parenting hack is using Design Thinking exercises on her kids—they are well versed in the world of white boards and sticky notes!
