Roy (he/him) has been involved in user research and service design for nearly a decade. 

He is currently the Head of UX Research at Zapier, where he launched the company’s Research Operations practice to support user research across the entire company and accelerate product development. 

Through his work, Roy empowers his teammates across the globe to learn and use customer insights more efficiently and effectively. Before Zapier, Roy led the UX research practice at Buffer. He is the host of the Scaling Research podcast, and has a newsletter where he shares his current projects and thinking, giving readers a behind-the-curtain peek at his work.

He holds a BSc in Health Sciences from Brock University in Ontario and a Masters of Commerce, Organization & Management from the University of New South Wales in Australia.

When not working or hanging out with his wife and three young boys, he can be found obsessing over football (soccer). Roy hails from Kenya and currently resides in Ontario, Canada.
