As part of Insights, we’re continuing to build tools that make analysis faster and more reliable. Meet AI Chat: a new interface that lets you ask questions about a participant session in natural language and get back grounded answers. It’s a quick way to confirm an idea, find a specific quote, check whether a theme came up in conversation, and more.
AI chat doesn’t just give you an answer—it shows its work. Each response includes citations that link to the exact moments in the transcript it pulled from. Click any citation to view the quote and jump right to that spot in the session.
🛡️ AI chat only uses what the participant said in the session. It doesn’t pull in researcher comments or any outside sources.
Try it out by navigating to a completed participant session, clicking "View recording" to open the drawer, and clicking the Chat tab.
💡 Make sure AI features are enabled: To use this feature, your team admin will need to turn on AI features from the advanced options page.
