Quota automations

With quota automations, you can now automatically prevent participants from scheduling or starting a task when a quota is already full. Instead of overfilling that segment, participants are added to a waitlist and will be notified if a spot opens up later.

Quota automations help teams support large-scale projects with less oversight, removing a lot of the work that usually comes with managing participant mix manually.

Why use automations?

• Prevent-over-recruitment: Participants from a full quota won’t be able to schedule or start the task
• Hands-off research: Reduce effort to achieve balance in completed sessions
• Smart re-engagement: Waitlisted participants are notified when spots open

How to set up automations

1. Go to Research design
2. Open the Participant number & incentives tab
3. Create your quota targets
4. Toggle on “Prevent scheduling or task start when quota is full” for the quotas you want enforced
