User Interviews acquisition by UserTesting: Customer FAQ

User Interviews is now part of UserTesting. As a UI customer, nothing changes for you today. Here, we cover key customer FAQs.

In January 2026, we announced that User Interviews has been acquired by UserTesting. As a User Interviews customer, nothing changes for you today.

  • User Interviews remains a standalone, tool-agnostic product
  • No changes to pricing, contracts, products, participant sourcing, or data handling
  • No service disruptions expected
  • Same team, same quality standards, same exceptional support

Over time, there may be optional integrations with UserTesting where they add value, but there is no requirement to adopt or migrate to UserTesting to continue using User Interviews.

Why did UserTesting acquire User Interviews?

UserTesting acquired User Interviews because the capabilities we’ve built are critical to where the customer insights market is going.

User Interviews brings trusted, high-quality participant recruiting, disciplined panel operations, and deep expertise in reaching the right people at scale. UserTesting brings a large enterprise customer base, leading customer insights offerings, and global reach.

Together, this combination positions both companies to continue innovating and delivering even more value as the market becomes more competitive.

What does this acquisition mean for User Interviews customers?

User Interviews customers can continue using the products they rely on today, with the same focus on quality, precision, and control.

Over time, being part of a broader customer insights ecosystem may create additional opportunities and optional enhancements, but nothing changes about how you work with User Interviews today.

What does the acquisition mean for Recruit API partners?

Your existing partnership agreement remains in place and your primary point of contact for partnership work will remain the same.

Overall, there will be no immediate changes and no action is needed on your part today. This acquisition will allow us to continue investing in our product and partner ecosystem while over time, creating new opportunities to deliver more value together. Any future updates related to partnerships, programs, or offerings will be communicated clearly and well in advance.

Will there be any changes to the User Interviews products or services I use today?

No. There are no immediate changes to User Interviews products, services, pricing, or workflows as a result of the acquisition.

Will User Interviews continue to be supported as a standalone product?

Yes. User Interviews will continue to be available as a standalone solution.

Customers are not required to purchase, adopt, or migrate to the UserTesting platform in order to continue using User Interviews.

Will User Interviews remain tool-agnostic and continue integrating with other platforms?

Yes. We know our customers value flexibility and choice.

User Interviews will continue to support the APIs and integrations customers rely on today. Our goal is to preserve tool-agnostic workflows while continuing to invest in high-quality participant and customer experiences.

Are any User Interviews products expected to be discontinued?

No. There are no current plans to discontinue any User Interviews products.

Will there be any service disruptions during the transition?

No. We do not anticipate any service interruptions or disruptions related to the acquisition.

Does this acquisition change how participants are sourced, managed, or vetted?

No. Participants will continue to be sourced, managed, and vetted using the same standards, processes, and quality controls you value today.

Are there any changes to data privacy, security, or compliance?

No. There are no changes to how customer or participant data is handled as a result of the acquisition.

User Interviews will continue to operate under its existing privacy, security, and compliance practices. Customer data will not be shared without appropriate consent and contractual agreements.

Will pricing, contracts, or renewal terms change?

No. Pricing, contracts, and renewal terms remain unchanged for the duration of your current agreement.

Any future changes would be thoughtful, incremental, and communicated clearly and well in advance.

How should customers think about future integration with UserTesting?

Over time, we may introduce optional integrations that make it easier to use User Interviews alongside UserTesting—only where it adds clear customer value.

Any integrations will be phased, optional, and designed to improve both participant and researcher experiences.

Who should I contact if I have questions or need support?

Please continue to contact your existing User Interviews account manager or support team.

There are no planned changes to support coverage as a result of the acquisition.
